Summary

Implements the full web frontend SPA for ExploreDNS, replacing the placeholder web/api/static/index.html.

Features

  • Domain input + record type selector (A, AAAA, MX, NS, CNAME, SOA, TXT, PTR, SRV, CAA, ANY)
  • Real-time progress feed via SSE /api/traverse/{id}/stream — stage badges, depth, name, server
  • Results tree — depth-indented, colour-coded type badges, probabilities, answers, CNAME chains
  • Options panel — all-root-servers toggle
  • Statistics panel — status, steps, answers, errors, max depth, duration, query details
  • Dark/light theme toggle, persisted to localStorage
  • Responsive — stacked mobile, two-column desktop
  • Vanilla JS, no build pipeline, embeds via //go:embed static

Testing

  • go build ./... passes
  • All existing tests pass (go test ./...)

- Replace placeholder index.html with full single-page application
- Domain input with DNS record type selector (A, AAAA, MX, NS, CNAME, SOA, TXT, etc.)
- Options panel: all-root-servers toggle
- Real-time progress via SSE endpoint /api/traverse/{id}/stream
- Live progress feed showing stage, depth, name, and server
- Results tree with depth indentation, response type badges, probabilities
- CNAME chain display and answer records
- Statistics/summary panel: status, step count, answers, errors, max depth, duration
- Query details panel showing domain, type, start/finish times
- Dark/light theme toggle with localStorage persistence
- Responsive layout for desktop and mobile
- Vanilla JS only — no build pipeline, embeds cleanly via go:embed
